New music video “Absurdities”

Here it comes! What lay dormant crawls out of the cave. Everyone feels it. The world seems threatening – and life is becoming increasingly absurd. “Absurdities” is the title track of our upcoming EP “All Life’s Absurdities”. The track explores the tension between reality and the surreal, blending darkwave and triphop elements with electronic energy. The single is available on all streaming platforms and you can download it on Bandcamp.

The single “Absurdities” will premiere March 6th

“Absurdities” is the lead single from the upcoming EP “All Life’s Absurdities” by LIGHTSHIFTERS and will premiere with a music video on March 6th. The track explores the tension between reality and the surreal, blending darkwave and triphop elements with electronic energy. In addition to the original version, the single includes a remix by award-winning film composer Christoph Schauer, known under the project names Morphose and Fractiles.

Sever (iamamiwhoami Cover) by Lightshifters

“Sever” by the Swedish duo iamamiwhoami is our contribution to the “Echoes in Concert” project, initiated by the official fan club iambountyfan. It’s an atmospheric downtempo synthpop song, and as part of the alternative Scandinavian music scene, we’re honored to contribute this version. The song also concludes the compilation “The In-Between Years“, featuring our own compositions from the past few years.

The In-Between Years

“The In-Between Years” is a compilation of songs Lightshifters produced between 2012 and 2025, arranged chronologically. Many of them we had never offered on streaming portals like Apple Music or Spotify, but now we decided to make them available in a convenient form. The compilation covers a wide range of genres, from energetic synthpop to soulful emotional downtempo tracks. The final track is a cover of the song “Sever”, originally by the Swedish audiovisual project iamamiwhoami. Visit Bandcamp to download the songs.

PROMETHEA – Debut EP “Dreams Surreal”

The alternative art pop project Promethea had recently its first EP release, “Dreams Surreal”. The music has been solely produced by Marthe B-L Pfirrmann, blending genres like dream pop, electronic and cinematic music. Her haunting vocals and dreamlike soundscapes explores the space between night and day, from being in a dream state to being awake. She also made a music video for her song “Rush” that is out on YouTube. Check out the links below.

Mental Exile EP: Exile Nights

Our friend Damasius Venys, leadsinger of the Spanish dark electro band Mondträume, has launched his solo project Mental Exile. The EP “Exile Nights” gives a good impression of the upcoming album: you can expect classic eighties synthwave. Marthe Borge-Lunde Pfirrmann contributed her vocals on the song “Her Only Wish”. The EP contains a remix of that song made by Vincenzo Salvia. You can download/buy the EP on Bandcamp.
